Fidelithon Systems Announces New Price Point and Convenience for Cloud-based Mobile Device Management

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) October 14, 2011

Fidelithon Systems?, LLC, a cloud computing leader in Mobile Device Management (MDM) for consumer and small and medium businesses (SMBs), announced new pricing and purchasing capabilities within its Pro and Personal versions of gMelt?, providing industry-leading value and convenience for managing mobile device-related content and assets. Updated versions of gMelt phone manager provide purchasing through the respective app stores as well as in-app purchasing and upgrade capabilities through the mobile device. Previous versions required purchasing only through a separate web portal. gMelt is supported on Android? phones and tablets, as well as Apple??s iOS for iPhone?, iPad?, and iPod Touch?. Pricing is effective immediately, with in-app capabilities available now for iOS devices. Android-based devices will support in-app purchases and upgrades in November.

New pricing for the apps start at $ 1.99 for gMeltPersonal?, providing robust management of two mobile devices and $ 2.99 for gMeltPro?, providing management for up to 100 devices and includes device tracking and remote ?wipe? of data, among other capabilities (platform dependent). Options for increased cloud storage of device information are available, for up to 256GB in capacity. The gMeltPro or gMeltPersonal app is used in conjunction with a web-based management console that gives people and businesses the capability for smartphone back-up, restoring, and secure file sharing and management of user-created content, including personal information management (PIM) data, such as contacts, dictionaries and alarms. Items stored in the virtual gMeltCloud? are accessible and downloadable from any location through the app or a browser-enabled device where an internet connection is available. gMelt can be used as a cloud-based virtual hard drive for computers as well.

?There are a lot of options out there to back-up computers, and others for local or remote back-up of PIM data from mobile devices?, said Kevin Allan, Principal and Founder at Fidelithon. ?The challenge is to have a system that combines all these aspects and is affordable, intuitive and that can scale. For well under $ 500 a year, you can have shared 32GB storage capacity and be able to access, share, backup, offload and restore lists, files photos and videos from your mobile devices, as well as upload and download to and from computers, for 100 people. You can also geographically keep track of your mobile assets and find a phone with the phone tracking feature, and if you need more cloud storage capacity, simply upgrade the account. gMelt isn?t limited to just backing up PIM data or to insure against catastrophic crashes of local hard drives, as seen with most other offerings. It?s a dynamic system meant to be used daily for sharing videos, photos and everything else.?

?gMelt?s capabilities are ideal for how I manage data and information for my clients,? said Janis Friedenberg Grube, Broker Associate at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Woodside, California. In many cases, the file sizes are too big to send over e-mail. Rather than setting up FTP sites, I can simply upload the files to gMelt and securely share them. My clients can then download them at their convenience from anywhere. With the value pricing and upgrade capabilities within the app, this is a great way to manage my business the way I want to.?

Products and Pricing

The gMelt system requires an app to be installed on each mobile device, (Apple: App Store, Android: Market). Customers can purchase the app through https://gmelt.fidelithon.com/gMelt-web/, or through the in-app process on their device, as well as manage and upgrade their account.

Has Capsized Costa Concordia?s Crisis Communications Management Preserved Consumer Confidence for Sailing and Saved Carnival Stock from Sinking? Part II, A Crisis Communications Case Study

Boca Raton, Fl (PRWEB) January 25, 2012

The Costa Concordia ship sank, 13 people were killed, 23 more are missing and all eyes are now on the Captain of the ship, Franceso Schettino, Carnival Cruise lines, the parent company of the Costa Concordia, and Carnival Cruise Lines Chairman and CEO, Micky Arison. The big questions are: what went wrong to cause the disaster and how to prevent something like this from happening again?

Jeff Mustard, a public relations professional and President of The Bamboo Agency, (http://www.thebambooagency), a multiple award-winning full-service advertising and marketing company that specializes in public relations and crisis communications, provides a Part II examination of the Costa Concordia / Carnival Cruise lines ship disaster seven days after the ship remains perched on its side laying on the reef that gutted the hull.

From a public relations and crisis communications management perspective, given the global profile of the ship-sinking disaster, there are also questions: how did Carnival officials handle the crisis? Did they react properly in the short term? Are the communications strategies (effectively) protecting its brand and preserving Carnival Cruise Lines reputation? What are consumer perceptions to the sinking ship incident? What are the financial implications both short-term and long-term for Carnival Cruise as a public company as well as to the cruise industry at large?

In his Crisis Communications Case Study, Part II, ?Costa Concordia & Carnival Cruise Lines Crisis Communications: Containment or Calamity?? veteran public relations professional, Jeff Mustard produced a 29-page report that reviews what Costa and Carnival Cruise Lines officials and their communications team did right, did wrong, and what it could have done better. The analysis reads like a taught thriller, is interesting, informative and enlightening and should prove illuminating not just to public relations professionals, but the media and consumers alike curious about how just such crisis situations are handled, managed and even manipulated from a marketing and messaging point of view.

The report, one of the industry?s earliest and most extensive reviews of the crisis, examines varying news accounts as covered in the major media, including line by line analyses of several of the company?s press releases and detailed examinations of the company?s communications key messaging points. As the drama unfolds on a global stage in the world news media, Mustard provides an inside-industry public relations perspective observing and critiquing how Carnival?s communications and its messaging are positioned to protect the company?s brand, preserve a positive public perception, and mitigate any (potential) culpability, as best it can, while being mindful of its responsibilities to numerous constituencies, stakeholders and stockholders as a public company.

Crisis Communications Case Study, Part I:

Just Three days after the 951? luxury cruise-liner ran aground and flipped on its side throwing passengers into the icy cold waters and casting a glaring spotlight on the Concordia ship disaster, Carnival Cruise Lines and the cruise industry, Jeff Mustard produced one of the public relations industry?s earliest and most thorough analyses of the then rapidly unfolding crisis. In his first crisis communications case study, a 13-page report, Mustard offers interesting, informative and intuitive insights that public relations professionals, the media and even consumers will likewise also find this initial study revealing and illuminating.

CrossTec Corporation & The Williams Group Kick Off the IETC 2011 Conference in Springfield, IL With Their SchoolVue Classroom Management Software

Springfield, IL (PRWEB) November 15, 2011

CrossTec Corporation and The Williams Group are kicking off the Illinois Education & Technology Conference (IETC) today in Springfield, IL to show teachers, IT managers, and educational leaders how to implement some of the most advanced 21st century education technology solutions into their schools. Their display includes a SoftXpand 2011 virtual desktop configuration driving a variety of CAD and graphic design software, all managed and monitored with CrossTec SchoolVue classroom management software.

CrossTec SchoolVue is a classroom management solution that enables teachers to deliver top notch lessons to students in their 21st century classrooms. More than ever before, teachers, lab instructors, and corporate trainers can take control of classroom technology, giving them the ability to monitor student activity on the PC, control application and internet usage, instant messenger usage, device usage and more. Teachers can use features such as the ?Show? mode for classroom demonstration or leverage the Testing Console to deliver custom, interactive, computer based tests that are graded automatically by the SchoolVue software.

?It is inconceivable for a teacher to work in a computer lab, library or classroom without a computer lab management program, such as SchoolVue. And although other programs are available, there is not a single one that matches SchoolVue for user-friendliness and reliability.? ? George Williams ? Owner, The Williams Group.

Driving the hardware in the display is SoftXpand 2011, a MultiSeat desktop virtualization software tool that is capable of running multiple high performance independent workstations off of a single Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Server 2008 R2 based PC. Each workstation consists of its own monitor, keyboard, and mouse ? enabling organizations to reduce the number of PCs required to grant access to students or employees. SoftXpand is a software only solution that does not require a thin client, therefore delivering a low cost, high performance alternative to traditional computing which still allows the user full access to high level computing.

CrossTec Corporation?s Marketing & Advertising Manager Michael Beverly will be presenting at the conference in Room Capitol IV at 2:15pm on November 15th. The presentation will include a demonstration of the SoftXpand 2011 MultiSeat Desktop Virtualization Software and CrossTec SchoolVue Classroom Management software.
